partnering with parents, and together discipling children, through the Gospel

A place for kids to experience the love of God and the truth of the gospel

WHAT IS KIDS
MINISTRY?

Kids Ministry at Indwelling is passionate about partnering with parents to teach kids to love God. But not just God. To love the things God loves. Like His church, our city and the nations. We desire to support parents in their God-given roles as the primary spiritual leaders of their family. We prioritize safety and focus on four core values— parent trust, leadership development, gospel-centered learning, and parent discipleship.

What We Do

Each Sunday our Kids programing exists to help lead and shepherd kids towards understanding the importance of Worshiping God, by studying the Bible, spending time with others, and singing songs that declare who God is and what He has done.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Every Sunday our Kids Ministry offers three rooms that are available to partner with our families in discipling their kids. We have a Nursery, a Toddler Room, and a PreSchool (3-5yo) Room. Each room is lead by volunteers who desire to pour into our kids truth-filled bible based programming.

CURRICULUM

In our Sunday programming, we teach a curriculum that walks kids through the entire story of the Bible over the course of three years. It is a curriculum that allows kids to dive deep into the big story of the Bible and see God's plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect on my first visit?

Welcome! We’re so excited to see you! After you have made you way into Indwelling and talked with some of our amazing Hospitality team, you can head downstairs by following the Kids Ministry signs to the Kids check-in area. If you need any help, there will be lots of people who can point you in the right direction. Because of our commitment to safety, you’ll check your child(ren) in using our check-in system. If your child has any special concerns or allergies that our team needs to know, please tell the volunteers at check in. We want to do the best we can to safely accommodate everyone! During our programming, you can expect your kid(s) to hear a lesson about the gospel told in kid-friendly language, complete activities that relate to the Bible based lesson, and learn memory verses in a fun and safe environment!

How do I check my child in on Sundays?

We use a secure check-in system and have vetted and background-checked volunteers each week to lead our Kids Programing. Once downstairs, you can check in your kid(s) using one of the two computers. If it's your first visit, we'll ask for a little more of your families information - your full name, your child's full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. After checking in, you will receive corresponding parent and child stickers which will be used to pick your kid(s) up following the service.

How do you prioritize safety?

We recognize that God has entrusted us with the safety of kids while they’re in our care, and we prioritize their well-being. Our Kids environment is supervised by multiple volunteers who have undergone an onboarding process that includes an background check.

If you have any additional questions regarding the practices or policies surrounding children’s safety, please reach out to our Kids director.

My child has special needs. What steps are taken to make your environments inclusive?

Our Kids Ministry should always reflect the truth of Scripture. It should always point towards Christ and there should never be a distinction or separation within our church body. We are a young church and are constantly learning and asking questions, trying to improve our effectiveness in serving families within our community. We desire to provide an inclusive, gospel-centered environment for people with all abilities. Communication is critical, so if there is something you would like us to know about you, your family, or your kids - physical, mental, behavioral, medical, or emotional - let our Kids Ministry director know as well as the volunteers serving in the room, and we together can continue to disciple kids and families.
